Agree with you 100% and I follow all the same strategies, which for the most part work well for me.
Well Done Lisa! Always great to listen to your presentations!
It is helpful
Thank you❤

I'm interested in the suggestion to look at audit reports from other institutions. Is there a repository for this or is the recommendation based on the connections you've made with colleagues?
This title says it all! =) Thank you. Also, I would love some training videos on managing a PI who has a large portfolio of grants!
If you include salary escalation to NIH your escalation will be cut. (Most institutes). If you’re at the maximum allowed (R21, $250k; R01, $500k; etc.) your award would be cut and reduced due to that escalation. Don’t escalate budgets to NIH if the budget is at the maximum.
For Modular budgets, I normally do not include escalations since most times detail budgets are not required. I do include state mandated cost of living of 3 % annually on all others. I include a statement within the justification stating a 3 % state of Texas mandated cost of living is included on all staff salaries.
I was thinking the same thing. I have had a consistent history of NIH cutting escalation of salaries during award stage, ending up with a reduction in funds awarded. I advise our PIs to not budget escalations due to this. I think it would be safe to make room years out in lines that are easier to re-budget to cover any salary/fringe increases since NIH expects some of these variances and allows institutions to do a justified re-budget when necessary. What is your university's culture in post award when it is requested for this type of re-budget?
@@emilydevereux8664 NIH allows us expanded authority to rebudget without issue as long as we're not changing the scope of the grant, so shuffling some funds from supplies, travel, etc. to cover salary increases shouldn't cover the change in scope and should be allowable and hasn't been an issue. At NIH regional meetings I've been to it has been recommended to flatline budgets BY NIH STAFF.
You Should show numbers on your effort chart ….

Very nice
Waaow very interesting
Does anyone have any prompts they are using?
Good information.
Great idea about using ML to assess complexity of workload/ project types - nice!
Love the Terminator reference.
Great advice! I don't think these strategies are specific to remote workers, but are critically important and need to be specifically prioritized when your team is fully remote.
first
This is such powerful information. It sounds impossible, and it sounds hard, but if you take a moment to slow down and be in the moment, you can apply little bits of these things one at a time, and then suddenly a few months later, you're like damn, I did it! it can be done! My favourite tip in here is to check out your benefits!!! Those can be game changers!
Please sent me sample cost sharing sheet

This was informative, though it's very unprofessional to use a skewed graph (00:05:38). The same sized sections of time in the graph are not in regular intervals starting in 2015, with a five year jump instead of eight year, as done previously. The graph then goes to 2016 with a one year jump, 2017 with a one year jump, 2020 with a three year jump, and 2023 with a three year jump, all appearing as 'even' sections along the x-axis. Please chose honest data to be proud of instead of skewed data just to make the 'steep rise' appear to climb faster than it actually did.
It would be helpful to have a more concise summary of the changes early on. This presentation is too drawn out and could be made tighter to save viewers time and help focus on important content
Would a foreclosure behind homeowners back(was in Illinois) home was in Texas realtor fraudulent paperwork on front door homeowner had a VA Loan f would false claim act apply here?
Really enjoyed this webinar - great job by everyone!
I love the new intro!
It is a great topic and great tips as well. Thank you!
That entire webinar was very well done. Kudos to the team!
Great advice! Most people will respect you if you take 30 seconds to respond to say "I'll get back to you by X." Just to acknowledge their needs! And integrity is everything; no one is perfect, but taking responsibility for your own actions even when mistakes are made, you earn trust and build relationships!
Great presentation on how to make a presentation! Thank you!
Thank you! :)
Clearly ILLEGAL & Unconstitutional CORRUPTION 101⚡️⚖️🙋🏻♂️🎯🔥👏
Hey Jamie -- Any chance you'd do an update on this? Because I'm totally interested -- and I'm betting I'm not alone! Worth asking! Thank you for keeping this up, NCURA!
is this feature available for Mac OS?
It looks like the Mac version of Outlook doesn't have QuickParts. It does have templates, which might also be useful if you're frequently sending the same full emails (versus being able to drop in chunks of text via QuickParts). support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/can-i-create-email-templates-in-outlook-for-mac-6339b60e-2e5a-4aed-a9e6-2e7b5d7eb5a0
I often use the AIMS to reflect what the key personnel will be doing opposed to the full explanation as you described. The feedback I've received from many NIH reviewers is that this is sufficie since they've already gone through the AIMs/grant in detail by the time they get to the justificaiton.
Always the best!
BRILLIANT as always my friend - thank you so much for this nuanced take and creating a pathway to becoming an accomplice from an ally <3
Excellent video. This provides persuasive arguments for research administrators to use with esteemed faculty members when they offer input on the proposal.
This is a great intro for newbies. I'd love more specificity as well! Thank you!
Well done! Great content.
Great job, Mom!
Thank you so much sir I have exam tomorrow and the video is helpful
I like your directness also how articulate you are.😊
Super informational!
Completely and utterly wrong. CUI protections do in fact extend to self-created information that the University, to the extent created on behalf of the Government.
Thank you for sharing! 🙏🏻
